Born in Sweden, brought up in the Netherlands, a full-blooded Finn who has soon spent half of her life in the United States,
Johanna Telander (also known by the name Jozu Kristi) is an international traveler and freelance artist currently splitting her time equally in music, voice-over and other creative pursuits along with being a stay-at-home mom to two wonderful kids under four.

Most originally from Helsinki, Finland, she has quite a list of  professional experiences in the performing arts, especially in the music business. Having collaborated with the finest performers in Europe and the US, and working with Warner and BMG in Helsinki, Jozu's young career took shape singing in cover bands including jazz trios, disco bands and big bands. In the studio, Johanna aka Jozu also recorded solo projects for labels such as Universal Music, scoring a top-selling& most-played list hit single in Finland in 2003.

Johanna got her Bachelors of Arts in Music (Jazz Studies) from the Capital University Conservatory of Music in Columbus Ohio, where she made many musician contacts with whom she gigged throughout her academic career. One of the most amazing opportunities while there was working as a soloist of the Rick Brunetto’s Big Band.

In 2007, Johanna moved to New York to further her studies at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.
Many acting and modeling projects followed- She participated in close to fifty indie films in five years, including the fan film favorite Mr J. series by Blinky Productions.

A member of Sag-Aftra since 2009, Johanna has had two significant speaking roles on network television and many small recognizeable featured parts.  At the moment, her highest priority work is in the voice-over and commercial industry. She is happy to be currently represented by Paradigm Agency.

Her heart never sways far from her musical roots, and thus you might have caught her performing her own originals in one of the many live music venues of NYC’s indie scene. She is gearing up to getting her own compositions licenced and placed in television, as well as producing her first concert series to be performed live in NYC.

Always looking for new opportunities to utilize her creative abilities, Johanna remains grateful for all those who have continuously believed in her.
